Local glass fusion artist Jason Legget came into school this week and everyone in school was given the opportunity to make a glass decoration while learning about the properties of glass and how it is such a useful, adaptive material.

Jason commented that the children were really polite, well behaved and interested in the activity.

Everyone in school enjoyed the workshops which provided a notably calm and peaceful time out from the usual busy school routine. Some of the staff were just as excited as the children to bring out their creative side!

In a few weeks time, after the glass creations have been fired in a kiln, at 800 degrees, to fuse the glass creations, they can be taken home.
