We're very excited to get going on our annual healthy living week at Aldermaston Primary School. This is our chance to support the children in understanding how to make healthy choices throughout 2022.
This week, every child will have the chance to:-
- Walk a mile every day
- Try a new sport
- Learn about eating a balanced diet and prepare a healthy snack or meal
- Appreciate the benefits of getting enough sleep
- Understand why it's important to talk about their feelings (mental wellbeing)
- Enjoy a daily period of reflection or mindfulness
We will finish with a celebration of new learning in our Friday collective worship.
Please do ensure that PE kits come in with the children at the start of the week and that they have warm and waterproof coats with them so they can enjoy outdoor activities even when the weather is less than perfect.
