Year 6 set off from school on Monday morning for a residential at Abernant Lake Activity Center in Wales. Activities included climbing, abseiling, stand up paddle boarding, zip wire and kayaking. You can find out more by looking at our blog which catalogs our adventures. As well as giving children lots of exciting and challenging experiences, the trip is also designed to build on certain aspects of our curriculum. For example, finding out more about the sustainability of local timber production and using oracy skills to present and explain group designs for raft building. We have been extremely proud of all of the children and the special way in which they are supporting each other through each new experience.
