Coronation Celebrations
On Friday 5th May, our House Learning Morning was a great opportunity for children to recognise the historical significance of the events surrounding the coronation of King Charles III. We began the morning with a whole school collective worship thinking about the leadership role of a king. Each House Group then spent the morning working together to find out more about King Charles III and to understand the coronation ceremony. Our younger children always enjoy the support and encouragement they receive from their older peers during House Events. Every group also enjoyed sharing their work with a very special royal visitor during the morning. The weather was kind to us for our planned picnic lunch and the morning was rounded off with all our classes playing together on the field in the sunshine.
We’re very grateful to our friends in the community for providing everyone with the beautiful Aldermaston commemorative Coronation coins.
